Penny’s paintings are about a landscape of freedom, the places where you feel the full force of wind and weather and find some perspective on life. Current work explores wild swimming and spending time on and in water, how it feels to be immersed in a liquid world.
The Knoll, Horton in Ribblesdale, Settle, N Yorks. BD240HD
From Settle enter Horton-in Ribblesdale and my studio is on the main road on the right hand side between the church and the Pen-y-ghent cafe. From Ribblehead keep driving through Horton until you cross the two humpback bridges and my studio is on the left after the Pen-y-ghent cafe.
Turn into the driveway at The Knoll to park next to my studio.
Up the driveway.
Visitors to the studio will have the opportunity to use ancient drawing materials (stones and chunks of landscape) to draw the surrounding landscape and Penny will have work in progress with demonstration possibilities for those interested in seeing more of the oil and cold wax process.
