Julia Poulton is an abstract expressive oil painter. Working intuitively with bold colours, marks and textures, she creates dramatic and sometimes dreamlike abstract paintings, often evoking a ‘sense’ of landscape or figures. This is left open to the imagination of the viewer however, who Julia hopes will find their own resonance within her paintings.

Visitors will be able to see my working studio, with some sketches, works in progress and tools of the trade. I will also offer a have-a-go experience for a mixed media collaborative artwork – visitors can add what they like to a large piece of paper as the day goes on, whilst trying out a range of materials such as pastels, charcoal, collage, paints etc.
