Judy Metcalfe
Statement
Judy is a textile artist who creates eco printed art pieces, scarves, and cushions, printed on different silks, with embellished embroidery. Judy draws her inspiration from her cottage garden, and nearby railway embankment. She recently graduated from Bradford School of Art in Textiles. Her work has been featured in Embroidery Magazine.

Directions
Turn off the A65 at Coniston Cold (between Skipton and Settle) signposted to Bell Busk. Follow the lane for half a mile until you pass under a railway viaduct. My studio is first house on left (white farmhouse set back off road with flagpole on lawn)

Studio experience
The visitor to my studio/gallery will be able to view and purchase examples of my work including eco-printed greetings cards, framed art pieces, cushions and scarves. There will also be demonstrations of how I produce my work including the eco-printing process showing how images are transferred from plants to fabric, and machine embroidery with water soluble fabric. Sketchbooks, research & development ideas plus examples of work in progress will all be on show.
