Jonathan Pomroy
Statement
Jonathan works as much as possible outside in all winds and weather, preferring to sketch in pencil and watercolour, a medium that allows him to work fast. His main motivation to paint is to share his passion for the natural world with others. By inspiring others he hopes that his art can play a part in nature conservation.

Studio experience
Visitors to the studio placed in Jonathan’s wildlife garden can expect to see his passion for the natural world. In particular they may be interested to view his nesting swifts on camera. Swifts have inspired him since childhood which led to the publication of On Crescent Wings a book of his sketches and writing about the species. They can expect to see him sketching swifts from life and can see plenty of ideas to attract wildlife to their own gardens. Visitors are welcome to view Jonathan’s sketchbooks, recent unframed works and framed works.
