Statement

Harriette explores colour through shapes and strokes to create vivid, playful pieces. Working in digital and physical forms; her work is comprised of printmaking techniques and a mixture of different paints and pastels. By layering these various mediums, new textures and silhouettes are formed, creating areas of conflict and harmony.

Directions

From the train station (town centre side): head right toward the bus station, continue down Station Parade until you reach the junction at Bower Road. Cross over to Mayfield Grove and continue up-hill until you reach the top and follow it around to the left. Continue on to tree-lined Franklin Road. At the end joining Grove Road, crossover and head left. At the junction joining King’s Road follow around to the right a few paces, My Studio is located across the road - look out for balloons and a red door.

Studio experience

Several sketchbooks will be on display for visitors to look through. I will have works-in-progress on display so visitors can see the different stages of my work, and get a feel for how I build up layers. I will be working on current pieces in order to demonstrate techniques I use and any final touches.
