StatementKatharine Holmes has become known for paintings which capture the feeling of being in the northern landscape. A native of Malham, she paints in the studio and outside in all weathers in a range of media, from oil on canvas to watercolour on paper. Her paintings are in many private and corporate collections, including that of Leeds University, where in 2009 she exhibited paintings and a large installation of drawings entitled A Journey around Home.
