StatementFran's principal medium is chalk pastel. Her work is inspired by a passionate love of colour. Her drawings are a response to the ever-changing skies, particularly sunrise and sunset. Fran also works from photographs she has taken of skies and seascapes in North Yorkshire and Northumbria. She works as an artist in schools and hospitals and has recently completed her training as an art psychotherapist.
