StatementNik Stanbury trained as a designer-silversmith (BA Hons). Following a PhD at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, investigating ancient metal-smithing techniques, he retrained as a designer-jeweller. He is currently Principal of York School of Jewellery and co-director of The Beautiful Splint Company, a business working closely with several hospitals making bespoke precious metal splints for clients with hyper-mobility syndrome and rheumatoid arthritis. His work is grouped into several themed interrelated collections and reflects his many interests.
