StatementHelene's inspirations can be found in the natural environment which surrounds her. Her most recent collection comprises unique pieces inspired by Silverdale Sands at low tide. Each piece is fretted, then forged by hand using sterling silver. An abstract pattern is then imposed on the silver, showing the patterns of water on sand, rivulets, flow, crosscurrents and confluence, using rough and smooth textures. Helene continues to make her other collections inspired by shells, leaves, drystone walls and wayside flowers.
