StatementBarbara works with both metals and textiles to create jewellery and hats. She works primarily with copper in her jewellery making - texturing and patinising it with both heat and chemicals - and she draws inspiration from both the manmade and natural environments. Her hats are easy to wear but distinctive - made in felted wools and tweeds with striking stitched details. Her lifelong interest in the visual world is clearly reflected in her work.
