StatementCaryl's recent series have been inspired by the coastal landscape in which she grew up. By collecting real objects, taking photographs and making sketches, she translates the essence of her observations to create contemporary representations in glass. Caryl is experimenting with incorporating transparent "found" elements and fused glass into her current work. She is enthralled with the creative possibilities the medium offers and works to ensure that the viewer is visually rewarded.
