StatementLiz Potter makes clay figures, unusually flat-backed, combining drawing and sculptural skills in the making. Her aim is to capture a glimpse of people alone and in relation to others and to show how revealing that glimpse can be. The figures are placed in a simple wooden box frame to give them a contained space to inhabit and a practical method of display. They represent Liz's observations on life as she sees it happening around her.
