StatementAnna Lambert makes handbuilt earthenware ceramics. Each piece is constructed individually by coiling, pinching and various modelling techniques. Anna's pots have a distinctive texture created by scraping back surplus clay for refinement of form, on which images are drawn and modelled. They are coloured with oxides, subtle underglaze washes and transparent glazes. While essentially vessels, the pieces are also expressions of Anna's response to her natural surroundings. She exhibits worldwide and also works to commission.
