StatementCaroline Riley works in a converted tractor shed on the North York Moors, painting mostly landscapes and animals, with a particular interest in all things related to trees. She uses different media, mainly alternating between oils and pastels - particularly suited to sheep and cow studies - and drawing small found objects when away from the studio. Currently working on more tree-inspired paintings she will in August be exhibiting at the Moors Centre in Danby and Art in the Pen, Skipton.
