StatementInspired conceptually by Paul Klee's notion of "taking a line for a walk", and in practice by her experience of stained glass design, whereby colours are confined by boundaries. Clothylde's paintings are personal and stylized interpretations of the North York Moors. She weaves her life into her surroundings with oils, acrylics, watercolour and pastel, so that her paintings are both a reflection of a recognizable landscape and a narrative of inner life.
