Welcome to North Yorkshire Open Studios 2009
- showcasing the work of over one hundred selected artists and makers
During the last two weekends in June, artists and makers across the whole of North Yorkshire invited the public into a host of intriguing studio spaces, ranging from caravans on the North Yorkshire Moors, harbourside baiting sheds in Scarborough and suburban living rooms in Harrogate to beautiful back gardens in the remote Yorkshire Dales.
With works on show ranging from stained glass, knitted jewellery and miniature paper shoes to sculpture, paintings and ceramics, there was something to inspire everybody.
This annual event provides a great opportunity to buy or commission works for you, your home or your garden, as well as to discover the rich seam of culture that runs through North Yorkshire's breathtaking landscape.
We hope that everyone who took part and visited this year’s North Yorkshire Open Studios had an enjoyable experience, whether viewing art, talking to artists or taking part in the other activities that were part of North Yorkshire Open Studios 2009.
